SEDBUK was developed under the Government’s Energy Efficiency Best Practice Programme with the co-operation of boiler manufacturers, and provides a basis for fair comparison of the energy performance of different boilers. Where the appliance description is followed by the words ‘Efficiency Estimated’ and the rating is shown as ‘X’, this indicates that the appliance is probably very old and has not been assessed under the SEDBUK methodology. The efficiency has therefore been determined using Table 4b of SAP 2005, the Government’s Standard Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings.
