In rare instances where a British Gas engineer is unable to attend a customer’s home, British Gas will send a duly qualified contractor to ensure that your needs are met immediately. Is it possible to apply for HomeCare coverage even if British Gas is not my supplier or gas or electricity? - If you do not and the boiler fires up when you turn on your hot taps, then you have a combination boiler
Contact your manufacturer if you are still unsure. Check on the front of your boiler, or underneath the main cover (near the controls) to ensure that you’ve got the right model number and boiler type. If British Gas supplies my energy or installed my boiler am I limited to only applying for Central Heating? Anyone with a gas boiler can apply – there is only one requirement: that all essential working parts are available and that your entire heating system is approved by British Gas during the very first Safety Inspection.
