Baxi Benchmark
Published: Thursday, September 10th, 2009Baxi Group, one of the leading manufacturers of heating solutions, has recently completed another Benchmark Audit. Baxi are amongst the most respected and energy efficient brands on the market.
The Benchmark Scheme shows Baxi supplies heating related products that meet all the required standards, and also provides recognised standards of support to installers and customers in the supply and after-sales service. They are renowned for their innovative and easy to install designs.
Managed and promoted by the Heating and Hotwater Industry Council (HHIC), the Benchmark scheme is a nationally-recognised initiative that places responsibilities on both manufacturers and installers to ensure best practice in the installation, commissioning and servicing of domestic heating and hot water products, in line with the Building Regulations in England and Wales. This includes all manner of boilers and other heating systems.
Those companies that sign up to the Benchmark Scheme agree to meet all required standards and provide support to installers and customers in the supply and after-sales service related to their products. As Baxi gas boilers are considered as one of the market leaders The Benchmark Scheme will assist in ensuring installers work to a Code of Practice, customers receive documentation about their products and installation, and manufacturers receive recognition for their adherence to high industry standards.
For example, Benchmark Checklists are recognised by the Government as an effective means of demonstrating compliance with Building Regulations and are increasingly important to customers for future reference and as evidence of a competent installation for the optional documents section of the Home Information Pack. This benchmark checklist is not only for Baxi but for all manufacturers and installers who operate within the heating systems industry.
“We are very happy that Baxi Group has successfully completed the Benchmark audit and continues to be a registered Benchmark manufacturer,” said Isaac Occhipinti, Benchmark Membership Services Manager. “We are pleased that a company with Baxi Group’s reputation and stature within the industry is supporting the scheme as it can only act to strengthen Benchmark’s aim to improve the quality and safety of domestic heating installations in the UK and to outlaw incompetent installers.”
Lee Robinson, Customer Service Director and a member of the Benchmark Steering Group, explained: “We are always looking for ways to give the very best service we can, and to support our heating system installers. Our continuing support of the Benchmark Scheme ensures we employ best practice at every link of the supply chain. It demonstrates that every product is of the highest quality and efficiency, installed to the highest standard and backed by excellent service and after-sales support.”
